Garden Centre Shopping all weather furniture is built on two materials chosen for survival, not for sale price. We use aluminium because the metal can't oxidise the way iron does. We pair it with UV-stabilised HDPE rattan that doesn't break down under sun exposure, where PVC plasticisers out-gas and leave the strands snapping at the joints within two summers.

• Aluminium Frames That Cannot Rust: We've coated every aluminium frame with a 0.2mm powder finish, 2.5 to 3 times thicker than the 0.06-0.08mm coating most aluminium garden furniture frames get. That thickness is what seals our frames through repeated frost cycles. We end up with frames that don't rust from the inside through joints. The frame still looks the same in March as it did in October.
• HDPE Rattan That Won't Crack Or Fade: Our HDPE rattan replaces the cheaper PVC weave dominating the lower end of the rattan furniture market. We've seen plenty of customers come back after two summers, after the plasticisers in their previous PVC set broke down and the strands turned brittle and started snapping at the joints. Our HDPE won't fade, won't rot, won't crack. It holds its colour and flexibility through full UK winters and summers.
• No Cover Needed All Year: If your last set rusted through after a wet winter even when you'd dragged the cover off and on through every shower, you'll know why we don't sell covers as essential. The frame doesn't need one. The rattan doesn't need one. We advise storing your cushions when not in use, and they'll last years that way, but the rest of the set stays out all year without losing structural strength or visible finish.
• Cushions That Hold Their Shape: We specify cushions 10cm thick across the range. Our 10cm depth holds shape through a long Sunday lunch, a full afternoon in the garden, or an evening with friends. We've sat enough sets at 6 to 8cm to know they feel fine for the first 30 to 40 minutes and start compressing after that. We chose breathable fabric over waterproof coating with removable washable covers, because waterproof cushions feel clammy and hot, and the coating itself cracks under UV after a couple of summers.
