Will the grey rattan fade in the sun?

The rattan is UV-stabilised HDPE (high-density polyethylene), which will not fade or go brittle in sunlight. PVC rattan - used on cheaper sets - can crack and degrade after a couple of summers. HDPE is a different material entirely, made to handle years of outdoor exposure without losing its colour.

Is the reclining mechanism hard to operate?

The backrest and footrest move together in one synchronised action - lean back and your feet come up at the same time. You can stop at any angle, so you're finding the position that suits your back rather than choosing from a few preset notches.

Can I leave this reclining rattan bistro set outside all year?

Leave it out all year round. The aluminium frame cannot rust, and the UV-stabilised HDPE rattan will not fade or go brittle in the sun. No cover needed for the frame and rattan - just store the cushions when you're not using them.

Is the glass top safe for a patio table?

Are cushions included with the set?

Cushions are included with the set. We advise storing them indoors or in a cushion box when not in use - they're designed for comfort, not to live outside permanently. We avoid stiff plastic-coated cushions because they feel clammy, trap heat, and the coating cracks after a couple of summers in UV.

How much assembly is required?

Hardly any. Slot each backrest into its seat and you're done. No tools, no screws, no fittings. The table arrives assembled and ready to use.

What's the difference between this and cheaper reclining bistro

Two things: frame material and recline quality. Cheaper sets typically use steel frames that rust from the inside out through joints and bolt holes - especially vulnerable on recliners where moisture collects around the moving parts. The Burton uses aluminium, which cannot rust, and offers infinite-angle reclining rather than a few fixed notches.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.

We dispatch from our Leicestershire garden centre. "In stock" means we have it here, ready to send, not drop-shipped from a third-party warehouse.

Returns: if you're not happy, let us know within 7 days and you can return it within 30 days for a refund (minus return delivery costs). The furniture must be in its original condition and packaging, and we'll arrange the collection with you.
