The rattan is HDPE - UV-stabilised so it won't go brittle or fade after a couple of summers in direct sun. The grey stays looking like grey, not washed-out beige. Each chair has brushed aluminium handles built in, giving you a proper grip for lifting and stacking rather than grabbing the weave itself. The round table comes with a glass top included, so you've got a wipe-clean surface for everyday meals outside.

Does the Sharnford stacking 6 seater set come with cushions?

We list everything included in the What's Included section: 6 stacking chairs with brushed aluminium handles, the round table, and the glass top. If you prefer seat pads for longer meals, you can add your own. We advise storing any cushions or seat pads when you're not using them, rather than leaving them out in the rain.

What's the difference between this and cheaper stacking dining s

The frame material. Most cheaper stacking sets use steel, which corrodes from the inside out once moisture reaches joints and fixing points. Can I leave this rattan dining set outside all year round?

The aluminium frame cannot rust, so you can leave the set outside all year round - rain, frost, snow. Steel corrodes through joints and bolt holes over time, but aluminium doesn't have that problem. A cover is optional for keeping the surfaces clean, but the frame and rattan don't need one to survive winter.

Is the glass top included with the table?

A glass top comes with the table - it sits on the rattan surround and gives you a flat, wipe-clean surface for meals. If you've eaten off a rattan-topped table before, you'll know how much easier glass makes cleaning up after sauces and spills.

Will the grey rattan fade over time?

The HDPE rattan is UV-stabilised, which is why we use it instead of cheaper PVC rattan that goes brittle and fades after a couple of summers. A quick clean now and then keeps the grey looking consistent - you're not fighting a losing battle against the sun.

How much assembly is required?

Only the table. The chairs arrive fully assembled and stack when not in use. The table base is four panels that screw together and then screw to the tabletop. All screws are included, and a screwdriver is the only tool you should need.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.

We dispatch from our Leicestershire garden centre. "In stock" means we have it here, ready to send, not drop-shipped from a third-party warehouse.

Returns: if you're not happy, let us know within 7 days and you can return it within 30 days for a refund (minus return delivery costs). The furniture must be in its original condition and packaging, and we'll arrange the collection with you.
