We use an aluminium frame because it cannot rust - you can clean it down with a jet washer or damp cloth and get on with your weekend. We pair it with UV-stabilised HDPE rattan, not PVC, which cracks and goes brittle after a couple of summers in direct sun. The cushions are extra thick for that sink-in feel, and we deliberately avoid waterproof coatings (we avoid stiff plastic-coated cushions!) because they feel clammy and crack in UV. Are the cushions waterproof?

No - and that's deliberate. Waterproof coatings feel clammy, trap heat, and crack after a couple of summers in UV. We chose comfort over weather resistance. All you need to do is store the cushions somewhere dry when you're not using the set, and clean them with water or soapy water when needed.

Can I clean the frame and rattan with a jet washer?

Absolutely - the aluminium frame cannot rust, so there's no risk of forcing water into a steel structure that corrodes later. Keep the pressure sensible and work from a reasonable distance. For everyday marks, a damp cloth is enough. The HDPE rattan can be wiped down the same way.

The frame is aluminium, which cannot rust, and the rattan is UV-stabilised HDPE, so neither the frame nor the weave needs to come inside or be covered over winter. The only thing we advise bringing in is the cushions - store them somewhere dry when you're not using the set, and they'll keep their shape for years.

Is the Silver Grey rattan likely to fade?

The weave is UV-stabilised HDPE rattan, which will not fade, rot, or go brittle in direct sun. Cheaper PVC rattan can crack and become brittle after a couple of summers, but HDPE is specifically stabilised against UV degradation. The silver grey colour holds well in UK conditions.

How much assembly is required, and are tools included?

Hardly any. Slot each backrest into its seat and you're done. No tools, no screws, no fittings. The table arrives assembled and ready to use.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery takes 3-7 working days. The set arrives flat-packed on a wooden pallet so everything is properly protected in transit. For an 8-seater set at this size, it's worth planning ahead - our customers tell us they'd rather wait and receive it in good condition than rush the process and deal with damaged packaging.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.
