Hand-woven synthetic rattan gives a little when you sit on it, so you feel a bit of flex through long sittings instead of the rigid push-back of harder machine-shell rattan on cheaper sets. The weave also won't crack at the first hard knock, the way moulded rattan does.

We also use hand-woven UV-stabilised synthetic rattan, which won't fade, rot or go brittle when left outside year-round.
