Why UV-stabilised HDPE rattan outlasts cheaper weaves
UV-stabilised HDPE rattan is used to help prevent cracking, fading, and brittleness after a couple of summers. PVC rattan is cheaper, but UV breaks it down - the surface dries out, fades, and cracks. HDPE is dyed all the way through the strand, so the Charcoal colour holds rather than bleaching off after a couple of summers.
