The table comes with 5mm tempered safety glass because it handles temperature swings without cracking the way standard glass can in a frost. Cushions are included too - and what we've seen for 25 years is that the sets that last are the ones where the cushions get stored away between uses. All you need to do is keep them in a storage box or indoors when you're not using them. No cover needed for the frame and rattan - just the cushions put away, and you're done.

Can I leave the Sapcote hideaway lounge set outside all year rou

The aluminium frame cannot rust, so you can leave it outside all year round with no cover needed. The rattan is UV-stabilised too, so it will not fade or go brittle in the sun. We advise storing the cushions away when not in use to keep them dry and in good condition.

What's the difference between this and cheaper rattan hideaway s

Mostly the frame and weave quality. Unlike steel-frame sets, this one uses an aluminium frame that cannot rust - so you avoid the inside-out corrosion that starts at joints and bolt holes. The rattan is UV-stabilised to stop it fading and going brittle. In our experience, those two details are what stop you replacing a set after a couple of seasons.

How many people does this hideaway lounge set seat?

Seats 4–6. It's a modular hideaway design, so you can use it as a smaller lounge setup day-to-day, then bring the extra seating out when you've got guests. Our customers tell us that flexibility is exactly why they choose a nesting set over a fixed sofa shape.

Does the set include a glass top?

A 5mm tempered safety glass top is included. Tempered glass handles temperature swings better than standard glass, which matters when a warm afternoon is followed by a British frost. It gives you a flat, wipe-clean surface for drinks and snacks.

Where should I store the cushions?

Indoors or in a storage box. We advise storing cushions away when you're not using them - not because the set can't handle the weather, but because cushions last longer when they're kept dry. Waterproof cushions tend to feel clammy and can crack after a couple of summers in UV, which is why we don't go down that route.

Is natural rattan a good choice for a new-build patio?

Natural rattan gives you a lighter look that suits pale paving, lighter fencing, and gardens where you don't want dark furniture taking over. The rattan is UV-stabilised, so it will not fade or go brittle in the sun - if you're placing it in a sunny spot, that UV stability is what keeps the colour consistent.

How much assembly is required?

Only the table. The chairs arrive fully assembled. The table base is four panels that screw together with two screws per side, then four screws attach the tabletop. All screws are included, and a screwdriver is the only tool you should need.

Delivery is included in the price, 3-7 working days to mainland UK. Your furniture is delivered on pallets via our courier, and we'll email you a timed delivery window so you're not waiting around all day.

Worth knowing: our courier delivers to the kerbside or driveway, they won't take items around the back of the house, and the pallet and boxes are left with you. If you'd prefer a white-glove delivery with set-up and rubbish taken away, get in touch and we can usually help.

We dispatch from our Leicestershire garden centre. "In stock" means we have it here, ready to send, not drop-shipped from a third-party warehouse.

Returns: if you're not happy, let us know within 7 days and you can return it within 30 days for a refund (minus return delivery costs). The furniture must be in its original condition and packaging, and we'll arrange the collection with you.
